Louise Neal

Louise brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to TGAI as both head of art programming and instructor. She holds a BS in Art Education from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pa, and an MS in Elementary Education from East Stroudsburg University where she studied ceramics with nationally known potters William Parry and William Daley. She has also studied at the York Academy of Art, Western Maryland University, Penn State, Lehigh University, Indiana University of PA. and Temple University. Louise has over 47 years of teaching experience in a wide variety of art media to children of all ages, including 25 years as district supervisor of fine art in BASD. In addition to her duties as a board member of TGAI, she serves on the board of the Pennsylvania Art Education Association, and has presented workshops to teachers at the local, regional and state level. She was a participant in the Pennsylvania Governor’s Institutes for Arts Education for 9 years, and has mentored several students who achieved national recognition during her distinguished career.
